PrestaShop Security

PrestaShop security: prevent threats, identify risks and take action

An online store needs protection in several places: access to its administration, publicly accessible forms, and the code of PrestaShop and its modules. At silbersaiten, you will find both dedicated security modules and professional services – for ongoing prevention and for help when something has already gone wrong.

Protect your Back Office and reduce spam

Two-factor authentication for the Back Office adds a one-time code to your employees’ passwords, making unauthorised access to your store administration more difficult.

Our Spam Protection protects login, registration, password recovery, contact forms and newsletter signup against spam and automated abuse. This helps secure important points of interaction with your store and reduces unwanted requests.

Keep track of vulnerabilities and malware

With SBS Security monitoring, we combine regular malware scans with a central security platform and a continuously updated database of known vulnerabilities. Checks cover both PrestaShop itself and installed modules.

When you subscribe to security monitoring, our staff receive and assess alerts during our business hours. You do not need to keep checking scan reports yourself: we notify you of relevant issues and discuss the next steps with you.

Assess your store’s security – and get help after a hack

Want to know where your store stands? Our Security Check provides an assessment with prioritised recommendations.

If you suspect your store has already been hacked, the initial diagnosis for malware cleanup is the right starting point. We investigate the incident and use our findings to prepare a quote for the required cleanup.

PrestaShop experience since 2009

We have been developing, supporting and modernising PrestaShop stores since 2009. This experience informs our security modules and our personal advice.

Choose the modules and services that suit your store: targeted protection for individual areas, ongoing monitoring or help with a specific security issue. Each offering is available separately and can complement the others.
